Amongst the green florals of Cygnet, Danielle and Cameron celebrated the start of their forever. From the very first moment, their love was undeniable, a connection that filled every sunlit corner of the villa.

Cameron and I met in the most unexpected way… on a mattress commercial. Neither of us were originally meant to be there, but both decided to take the job at the last minute. From the moment Cameron walked in, there was an immediate spark.
By the end of the shoot, neither of us wanted to leave. We exchanged Instagram details, and as soon as I drove away, I called my close friend Jess and told her I’d just met a unicorn. Cameron, at the same time, called his best friend Nathan, who, strangely enough, was already a very good friend of mine.
Somehow, our paths had never crossed before that day. What followed was effortless. A dog walk turned into date nights, and within a year we were living together. We renovated homes side by side, built a life quickly but instinctively, and this year we purchased another home together in Mount Martha. From the beginning, it felt easy.

Every decision had to reflect what we love, what we value, and how we live our life together, and then share that with the people closest to us. We also cherished intimacy, with only 55 guests, we wanted depth over size and it gave us ample time with our guests. Above all, three things mattered most.
First, the venue. We wanted something truly unique, somewhere that felt meaningful, not
Formulaic.
Second, food and wine. This is such a central part of our relationship. We bond over long lunches, wine tastings, cooking together and discovering new places, so it felt natural to build the celebration around that.
And third, music and entertainment. We love hosting, we love live music, and we’re lucky to be surrounded by incredibly talented friends, so we wanted that energy to carry through the day.

I always had a very clear vision for the bridesmaids’ dresses. I knew quite early on that I wanted them in white, which definitely surprised a few people at first. But for me, trends come and go, and white is timeless. It’s classic, traditional and never dates. I loved the idea that when we look back at these photos in 15 or 20 years, the dresses will still feel elegant and on trend because white never goes out of style. It also felt incredibly cohesive with the overall palette and aesthetic of the wedding. The venue, the florals, the styling, everything had a soft, refined, European feel, and the white dresses elevated that atmosphere beautifully. I wanted the bridal party to feel unified, but not uniform.
Something that was really important to me was allowing each of the girls to choose a silhouette that suited their body and personality. I love each of them for who they are, and I wanted that individuality to shine through. Two of the girls ended up choosing the same style, which I didn’t mind at all, it felt natural and organic rather than overly curated. I also encouraged them to wear their hair however they felt most confident, whether that was up, down, sleek or soft waves. I didn’t want anyone to feel styled into something that wasn’t them.
On the day, the dresses were absolute perfection. They photographed so beautifully, soft, elegant and luminous against the setting. Together, the overall look felt cohesive, timeless and refined, and it transitioned seamlessly from the ceremony into the after-party.

I found choosing my wedding dress surprisingly difficult. Everyone asks, “Did you just know when you found the one?” and for me, the answer was no. I tried countless boutiques, dresses in New York, flew to Sydney to see designers, explored second-hand and vintage options, and even enlisted friends to help source archive pieces.
I tried on several gowns, but one stood apart, a beautifully traditional silhouette inspired by Grace Kelly. The moment I put it on, I felt regal, timeless and completely myself. While we considered a few more modern styles, Steven was gently but confidently adamant that this was the dress. He refined the fit, personalised the structure, and designed a bespoke lace veil exclusively for the gown, dramatically longer than the train itself. With a petticoat added for movement and texture, the dress fell and moved with such elegance. Wearing Steven Khalil on my wedding day felt like a true honour.
