We met through a mutual friend, Brodie actually spotted me from across the street one day and asked our friend for my details. We went on our first date soon after and never looked back. Five years later, he completely surprised me with a proposal. We had been building a tiny home on my family’s farm, and he chose a moment while we were finishing it to pop the question. I had absolutely no idea it was coming, which made it even more special. Afterwards, we celebrated with our family and friends at our local pub in Tatong — it was such a perfect, memorable day.

We chose to get married on my family’s farm, where I grew up, because it’s such an incredible property and it's also where we got engaged. We wanted the day to feel authentic to who we are: minimalistic but intentional.

Every detail was chosen to complement the natural surroundings. We held the ceremony in the garden and the reception in the shed, which felt really unique and true to the setting. At the end of the day, we were on a farm, and I wanted our guests to fully experience that. The décor was kept simple to let the beauty of the location speak for itself.

For my bridesmaids, it was really important to find a dress that suited all of their different body types and made them feel beautiful. I chose this particular style and colour because it was so flattering on everyone — especially having my mum as a bridesmaid, it was important to me that she felt confident and comfortable.

Every one of them loved the dress and even mentioned they’d wear it again for future events, which says a lot. I chose navy blue because it felt a little different while still being timeless and elegant. I also carried the colour through the décor, which ties everything together and added a refined touch to our country farm wedding.
