Set against the backdrop of Mount William Station in Willaura, Victoria, Emily and Aaron celebrated their wedding in a setting that transported guests to a European-inspired oasis amidst the Australian countryside. The pair exchanged vows in a ceremony that exuded timeless elegance and embraced the natural beauty of their surroundings.
The bridal party, dressed in our La Lune Lemon silhouettes added a touch of contemporary sophistication to the affair. Their love story unfolded in a picturesque locale that captured the essence of their journey together.
Emily’s second bridal look featured a halter corset paired beautifully with our La Lune High Waisted Maxi Skirt in Cream.

When we got engaged it was in the middle of lockdowns here in Melbourne, so it was a bit of a stressful time to be planning a wedding - as there was so much uncertainty. We always knew we wanted our wedding to be a long weekend saga - a place where all of our loved ones could stay together and we stretch the celebrations over a couple of days! Our minds instantly went to Palm Springs, somewhere in Italy, back to Hayman Island even. However the logistics and travel involved, and wanting all of our guests to be able to easily attend - we decided somewhere in Victoria was the go. I had a meeting with a client of mine and she was asking about how wedding planning was going. When I told her we had done 0 planning - she suggested a venue she had a close connection with. It was Mount William Station.
We saw the photos online and just knew it was it. They had only just opened themselves up for weddings, and we booked in July 2022 without seeing it in person. January 2023 we went out there for a site visit with our amazing wedding planner, Natasha from Du Jour and it exceeded everything we saw online!!!
To us, Mount William Station ticked all of our boxes. A place where everyone could stay, a beautiful European style property with beautiful gardens, a pool and area for recovery, completely DIY and that destination feel (3 hour drive from Melbourne).
We wanted the wedding to be a big party, but still quite warm and intimate. We drew a lot of inspiration from our travels. Our menu was inspired by a restaurant in Italy we went to - that had no menu and served local, family style plates of beautiful pastas, salads and meats. Our florals were simple and classic with whites, creams and greenery. Our decor was full of draping, soft linen, gold, Italian alfresco furniture, parasol umbrellas and touches of orange. At everyone’s seat, we had custom made paper fans with their names (ideal for a hot summer's day!) and our favourite - a tambourine. These were the perfect party starters and everyone got around them so much!!!!

Aaron and I have been together for over 8 years! We met at an event on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, at Portsea Pub. Every year they host a day party on the 23rd of December, where everyone who lives down there goes! We had never met before, but a mutual friend introduced us and that was the beginning of it all!
We were lucky enough to head to Hayman Island in Queensland for Aaron’s work - as it was a “work trip” I really had no expectations of him proposing. He booked a helicopter tour over the Whitsundays which then landed on Whitehaven Beach. I still had absolutely no idea. He suggested we get a photo in-front of the helicopter, whilst he was getting his phone out to give to the pilot, I was busy taking photos of the beach and had no idea the setting up that was happening behind me. We posed for a photo, he dropped the knee and I cried happy tears (and of course said yes!!!!) The sun came out for the hour we had on the beach, all to ourselves and it was truly magic.

My first thought for my bridesmaids dresses were - that I just wanted them to feel comfortable. Having built a relationship with Shona Joy over the years, they are one of my favourite brands and I always feel a million bucks in their designs, so I knew they were the ones for my girls!
As our wedding was in peak summer, I wanted the girls in something light. The lemon yellow hue was the perfect tie in for the rest of our styling and felt it really matched our European aesthetic.
The girls said throughout the day just how amazing the quality of the dresses were and the fact the colour suited them all.
As for my dress, I have been lucky enough to model so many incredible gowns and designs over the years - that when it came to my own dress. I knew I wanted it to be really simple and to feel like me. Off the shoulder was always my vision for many, many years and the incredible Mia, from Mia Ateliers took all my inspo images and curated my dream dress. It was light and silky, lots of draping and corseted detail, low back and a really long train.
Paired back with a custom made veil, equally as long and made of soft floaty tulle and dapples of petals throughout.
I had never felt so amazing!
